ARGH!!! Which new character to start? :(
I currently have a warrior, ritualist and elementalist. I beat all the campaigns, 3 on my warrior.
I want to start up a new character, problem is I find too many other classes super cool, and I really can't decide
It's probably between necromancer (looks awesome, good for farming, cool concept), ranger (not bad looks, alright for farming, awesome concept), paragon (looks okay, very few builds for farming, so many bad stereotypes, but i know it's a powerful class).
I like mesmer and monk more as secondaries, and devrish/assassin are super cool but I already have a warrior.
Anyways, if anyone has experience with all 3 classes or whatever, help me decide!
thanks

Paragon: Great dps, great partywide buffs, damage reduction, condition/hex removal. Together with other Paragon heroes you'll have a very exciting experience.
Also: Best Class to Ursancarebear around.
Ranger: BHA for epic caster shutdown. I mostly just play that build since it contributes alot.
Necromancer: Great at melee shutdown with weakness, miss hexes, Spiteful Spirit. Decent enchant removal.

Necro is my fav of those classes because it's the most versatile. According to your secondary you can go: Anti-Melee, Anti-Caster, Minion Master, Blood Spiker, Energy Denial, Melee Damage Booster, Hex Stacking, 55 solo, Condition Removal (party), Condition Application (entire other team), or a mixture of any of those. Plus it looks/dances awesome.
Ranger is a close second for it's condition spreading and caster shutdown. Often is one of the last to survive, also.

if you do a lot of h/h and don't like relying on others then paragon.
otherwise monk you'll have easy time getting a group.
necros and assassins are fun classes.
just try one out and if you dont like it try another.

go Paragon if you dont have philosophical qualms with PvE skills.
otherwise Necro is awesome. Very versatile: has lots of ways to play which are effective. (Also, makes kickass healer if you go N/Rt).

Necro would be a good choice Its my most played character and does well in all the campaigns.
Mesmer would be a real challenge I struggled in quite a few areas till I got the hang of how the class works.

I'd go monk...easier to get pugs if you want to pug, and if you never healed much with your rit then you will probably learn more on the monk because it makes you pay closer attention and understand what is going on. I think everyone should be required to play heal or prot monk thru the game before they are allowed to play any other class

From the professions stated in the first post, I would suggest the Ranger. Rangers are extremely versatile and can fill a wide range of different roles within a balanced party. They're quite fun to play as well, I think
I would suggest giving the Mesmer a try as well. It's not a straightforward profession, but as you say you've played through the games already you should have a good knowledge of what to expect in each area of the game world and a solid understanding of game mechanics, so you should find the basics of mesmerisation relatively straightforward. Plus Mesmers get the most stylish armor, in my opinion

Out of your choices I personally find Necro's the best to play. They can be a little more diverse to play. Less monotonous if you will.

the monk seems to be the money maker, it can solo and is highly sought after in missions, the down side is its alot of work to learn one and its alot of work to play one to the satisfaction of the party.
if i ever do build a second character and retire my poor warrior i will go monk.

My favorite class to play is monk. But my second and third favorite go Necro then Ranger. Either one is pretty versatile. Necro has some nice curse, blood & death builds. Ranger has some good defense, can shut down casters, or do heavy degen, or aoe with barrage.
